Valentines Day

I am questioning how to even begin this post. Some people may think Valentines day is cheesy or obnoxious. Some people even hate it. But really... who can complain about having LOVE or being LOVED?? The idea of celebrating that love is fantastic! So beware all you valentine haters...this post is cheesy and obnoxious. (And I don't apologize one bit for it!)

I had so much fun decorating and celebrating with my lover on this day of love!

First, I surprised Brolin with a yummy french toast breakfast! MMMmmmm mmmm, Yum! He bought me flowers and wrote me the sweetest note. I think I'm pretty lucky!
Then after work and school, we went to yoga (aahhhh...found my chi!), came home and made dinner, then went out for some really yummy cheesecake at the coolest wine bar here in town. It was such a classy, relaxing atmosphere.  (So relaxing, I may have sipped on some wine! ...that was a joke...)

When we got home, we had our very own "Valentine photo booth" session with a disposable camera. It was so much fun!! We clicked a couple with my phone just for a preview. We also wrote love notes to each other and we put the notes and disposable camera in a time capsule that we are going to open on Valentines day in 5 years. Cheesy enough for you?!
Here's to a great day! I LOVE you Brolin.

Super Bowl

Do Brolin and I follow football all year long?... No.
Do we always know the teams that make it to the superbowl?... No.
Do we pass up the opportunity to throw a party with good food.... NO! That would be absurd!

We have such great friends and it was a fun afternoon spent with them, stuffing our faces, watching football, and having a great time. Thanks Jennifer for letting us use your home!

And what's my favorite thing that came about because of the superbowl you might ask? These babies! Brolin and I made a spinach artichoke dip for the game and we had SO much left, that we decided to make pizza's with it! MMMM....they were SO TASTY!!

Well worth the calories I'd say.

everything

This is my random post. These are the GORGEOUS flowers I came home to one day after work. I love when Brolin does cute things like this just because. I'm a sucker for anything sweet or cheesy.

Back in January, we spent the day in Portland babysitting these adorable kiddos while Becca and Skye were at the temple. We had so much fun, and I could not stop loving on them. Especially my precious little Marion girl.

Their laughs are the sweetest thing. I can't get enough!!

We have the coolest, cutest, most wonderful nieces and nephews! So blessed.

2013

We celebrated the New year by going snowboarding on New Year's Eve! We went with our good friend, Natasha, and had a blast! The weather was perfect and the mountain was BEAUTIFUL! It's such an amazing feeling being on the top of a mountain surrounded by trees, and snow. Absolutely beautiful. Especially because in the distance you could see all the Christmas lights everyone had up.

Happy New Year!

Christmas (catching up)!

We had a WONDERFUL Christmas this year (Okay so technically it's last year b/c i'm so behind in writing this). It was mine and Brolin's first christmas being married!

We actually both ended up having to work on Christmas day, but we were able to spend time with family before that. We had the best time! The weekend before Christmas we spent 2 days in Boise with most of my family. It was the first time seeing a lot of them since our wedding!!!! :/ I hate being so far away...

We went on an Elk Sighting/ Sleigh Ride, celebrated Christmas, shopped, ate WAY too much food, and played tackle football of course!

Hated to leave my family in Boise, but luckily we went straight to Burns to spend time with Brolin's family for the next 2 days.

We did a lot of playing in the snow, ate too much food (again), watched movies, opened presents and completely relaxed. I am so thankful to be blessed with not just my wonderful family, but an entire second family who I love dearly!

Check out this Awesome hill! Right in Brolin's back yard.

Merry Christmas!

new pledge

Every time I write a blog post, I convince myself that I will keep this thing up. Then months later, I find myself dreading all the pictures and things I have yet to blog about!!! So, this time, I am publicly telling all of you that I will from here on out, do my best to be a consistent blogger! Frequent updates...starting now.

And since it's the night after Valentines Day, naturally, I will rely on these heavenly morsels...
...and my Angus and Julia Stone station on Pandora to get me through these next few blog posts.
Wish me luck... (and let's hope this bag of chocolates isn't gone by the time Brolin makes it home...)!
