The past three months

It's been a while, so here is a brief recap of everything we have done the past few months. Ready, set, go!

Breakfast with Granddad Phil when we drove through Washington. We love this man so very much. It was a privledge to see him even if it was for a short time.

A weekend trip to Canada.

A day trip to Bend to see Aunt Zell, Granny, Becca, and the kids. It was Brolin's first time meeting Aunt Zell. We are so happy she came all the way from Australia! Now it's our turn to make the trip to her. :)

A weeklong trip to Lake Billy Chinook, the Oregon Coast, and the state fair with Brolin's family.

I did my first triathlon with my friend Shelby, and LOVED it. I am totally hooked now.

Brol and I found a new hobby.

Now Fall is here. The festivities are in order and life is good. More updates to come shortly.

New York Trip

After Spencer and Bria's wedding in Boston this summer, Becca, Skye, Brolin, and I took the short train ride over to NEW YORK! It was a whirlwind of a trip, and we lived it up. Can you tell we are excited to get there?

It was lunch time when we arrived, so first stop was Shake Shack for their amazing burgers and shakes. Boy were they good. The line was extremely long, so these two charming men waited in line while Becca and I sat in the shade.

After we checked into our hotel, we rented bikes and rode around Central Park. And YES, it really is as wonderful as I have always pictured. The park is huge and constantly filled with a variety of beautiful people. Bikes were definitely the way to go because we were able to see so much more in the short time that we had.

OH, and I forgot to mention, my old roommate Abbey met up with us and joined our adventures for the day. It was fun to catch up and spend time with this lovely lady.

Next on the agenda... LadurĂ©e. This was one of my highlights for sure. The only macaron in my opinion. They were absolute perfection. Some favorites were lemon, raspberry, and pistachio.

We spent the rest of the day walking around and enjoying every New York Minute.

For dinner, we had reservations at Carmines Italian Restaurant. This was Brolin's highlight of the trip. Good food = Happy Brolin.

The rest of the evening we walked around and experienced the night life of New York.

And a movie in the park to finish off the night.

The next morning, Brolin and I decided to wake up early (more like I forced him out of bed so I wasn't alone) and we went for a run/walk/stop-and-take-pictures-of-everything-we-see around Central Park.

Then we took a water taxi tour and it was so worth it. It's a great way to see a lot of New York in a short amount of time.

How cute is this prego lady? Best sister EVER!

Brooklyn Bridge & Little Italy

We had such a fun whirlwind trip. We look forward to going back and spending more time here one day. (Maybe to pick up Sam from his mission in two years!) Thanks for being spontaneous with us Becca and Skye. We had a blast!
